Primate Watch Safaris Limited is an indigenous Africa safari company fully registered in Uganda with physical location in Kampala, Namasuba on Ndejje road, off Kampala – Entebbe highway. Our vast experience of more than twelve years in the tourism industry and the expertise has enabled us to successfully manage a company with a view of delivering to our client’s expectations.
Staff profile:
Managing Director: Erasmus Otolok Tanga, MPH, BA (SWSA)
A trained social worker with a warm sense of hospitality and interaction. He has more than 15 years of experience in project management and programming in Uganda. He has also held both technical and management positions including US government funded grants. He has hands-on experience. He has extensively traveled within and outside Uganda hence the urge to incorporate himself in the tourism and travel industry. Erasmus is also a researcher and trainer as well as visiting lecturer at Makerere University School of Public Health. Erasmus is an experienced consultant on project monitoring and evaluation as well as establishing networks. He has traveled widely across most continents save for Australia.
Through interaction with the various visitors who have traveled to Uganda on research programs and after conducting them on safaris on which these visitors expressed love for wildlife and nature, from their conversations Erasmus developed interest in conserving nature and more to do so by fully throwing himself on board. He conceived the idea of forming a tour company either in partnership or by himself. Hence, the birth of PRIMATE WATCH SAFARIS.
Our staffs’ dedication to serve with a sense of humor and respect has made the company to excel in tourism hence makes our clients not only receive their money worthy but also make them feel at home. We operate safaris with a sense of wildlife conservation. Our mindfulness of conservation, eco tourism and the knowledge of geography of the countries in which we operate have earned us a good reputation.
Membership
We are members of; Uganda Wildlife Authority, Nature Uganda, Uganda Bird Guides Clubs. Our drivers hold UGASA membership cards.
Our Drivers/Guides:
A successful safari largely depends on your driver guide. With several years of experiance in tourism, we know that it entails experience and knowledge for a fascinating safari. We have a wonderfull choice of wildlife safari guides. They have undergone various courses in wildlife, eco tourism, and birding. They have also undertaken mechanical to be able to arrest any unforseen braekdowns. They are ranked among the best in the country.
Our Vehicles are 4x4 wheel drives, tour built with roof hatch which makes them ideal for game viewing and sightseeing. The vehicles are designed to provide maximum level of comfort and safety.
Briefs:
First impression counts. A part from your driver guide, a client liaison representative of Primate Watch Safari Company will always endeavor to meet and greet our clients on arrival then briefly discuss the given itinerary on the dos and don’t's and have all concerns answered prior to Safari set off.
Accommodation:
Primate Watch Safaris is an accredited booking agent for most of the hotels in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania. An accommodation reservation depends on your likes and budget. We help you choose the option that fits your budget while at the same time considering quality.
Emergency and Safety:
While Primate Watch Safaris ensures that you are safe while on safari, we highly recommend that you take the necessary medical and travel insurance before your safari.

Primate Watch Safaris is a fully registered tour and safari company in Uganda and operates with full consent and mandate of the Uganda Tourist Board and the Uganda wildlife Authority.
