Terms and Conditions

1. Primate Watch Safaris Ltd is a local safari operator registered as a Limited Company in Uganda.

2. Primate Watch Safaris specializes in personalized service operating 4x4 vehicles driven by experienced Ugandan driver/guides. We design any itinerary to suite our clients taste and requirements on Group or FIT basis with an eye for detail to give our clients over and above their expectations.

3. Quotations are given for specific itineraries on a net basis, in U.S. Dollars and are honored unless local prices increase dramatically beyond our control. More specifically, if the government increases gorilla trekking permits and park fees, then prices could be affected. Quotes include transport services, accommodations, meals, and park fees as stated. Any missed meals or activities unless due to extenuating circumstances are not refundable.

4. Accommodations and other services are booked at time of confirmation by the client/agent and these will be adhered to. Any changes of accommodations beyond our control will be notified as soon as possible.

5. Primate Watch Safaris will arrange accommodations, restaurant services and other services from various independent suppliers that are not subject to our control. Therefore Primate Watch Safaris cannot be liable for any personal injury or property damage that may occur due to any act of omission of such a supplier or defects in or failure of any mode of transportation not under our control.

6. Payment for safaris are as follows:

a. If clients are trekking gorillas and or chimpanzee, then we expect full payment for permits upon receipt of invoice. Gorilla trekking permits are purchased on a non refundable basis. However we will endeavor to assist our clients by selling on or using any permits that are not required due to cancellation.

b. Full payment for the safari is due upon receipt of invoice, normally 40 days prior to clients’ arrival in Uganda. Payment details are clearly written on the invoice.

7. Cancellation by the client, charges are as follows

• Gorilla trekking permits non refundable.
• Cancellation prior to the safari.
• More than 45 days Deposit.
• 44 days to 15 days , 50%
• less than 14 days, 100%
  

8. Cancellation by Primate Watch Safaris will entitle the client to a full refund or credit. In respect of gorilla permits, refunds/credits will be given once arrangements to do so have been negotiated with the Uganda wildlife Authority.

9. All clients are expected to have all necessary travel and medical insurance; we accept no responsibility for loss of personal items or medical costs.
