PWS - Uganda Greater Apes Safari 7 Days (6 Nights)

Day 1. Arrive Entebbe, Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe, you will be met at the airport by our company representative who will then transfer you to the Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel, a charming, colonial style hotel with beautiful gardens and a swimming pool. This afternoon is free for you to relax at the hotel. If time allows, you may visit Uganda Wildlife Education Centre /Botanical Gardens. Overnight The Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel.

Day 2. Kibale Forest
After breakfast, drive to Kibale Forest National Park Via Mubende and fort portal. The drive will take you about 5 hours on dirt road so we advice packed lunches which will will be enjoyed en route. The trip takes you through a variety of habitats that includes forests, savannah, papyrus swamps, and vegetable gardens, that all result in beautiful sceneries. Overnight Ndali Lodge/Primate Lodge.

Day 3. Kibale National Park
After break fast, proceed to Chimpanzee tracking. The exciting activity begins in the morning and may take a whole day or a few hours. Briefing is done by the local park guides. Besides close cousins, the chimpanzees, there are other primates likely to be encountered. These include: red colobus, L’hoesti, black-and-white colobus, red tailed monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey and other primate species. The swamp walk at Bigodi wetland is an optional activity in the afternoon. Overnight Ndali Lodge/Primate Lodge.

Day 4. Kibale/Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, take packed lunch and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. arrive late afternoon,check in and have dinner. Overnight Gorilla Forest Camp/Buhoma homestead/Kitandara Camp.

Days 5. Gorilla Trekking
After an early breakfast, you will take a short drive / walk to the park offices for briefing. After a briefing from the park’s guides, we set out on our long-anticipated adventure. The trail through the tropical rainforest is both challenging and exciting, and we will walk deep into this dense jungle, described by early explorers as “The Impenetrable Forest”. Overnight Gorilla Forest Camp/Buhoma homestead/Kitandara Camp.

Day 6. Return to Entebbe/Departure
After an early morning breakfast, start off on a long day drive back to Entebbe. The drive will take a minimum of 9 hours with lunch en route. Check inn dinner and Overnight at The Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel.

Day 7. Entebbe/Departure
This is basically an international flight connection day. Therefore, depending on the time of your flight here below you choose an optional activity.

a) Half day visit to Ngamba Chimpanzee sanctuary.

b)Kampala city tour and sight seeing.

C) Visit to the Botanical Gardens
