Itineraries

Day One

Arrival - Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport you are met and transferred to your Hotel by our company representative. Check in and have a day at leisure. Overnight Lake Victoria Hotel Entebbe.

Day Two

Entebbe - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The company driver picks you up from your Hotel in Entebbe and drive to Bwindi impenetrable National Park. This is a long day drive of approximately 9 hours with lunch stop over en route. Though long the drive takes you through different features to include tropical rain forests, savannah fields and the terraced hills of Kigezi famously known as the Switzerland of East Africa. Arrival is late evening Dinner and overnight Gorilla Safari Camp/Buhoma HomeStead/Kitandara Camp/Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day Three

Gorilla Tracking

After an early morning breakfast, and with our picnic lunch, we then take a short drive to the park offices for briefing where we meet the excellent local guides and trackers who give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. We then hike into the forest to a spot where gorillas were seen the previous night and track from there. Trekking may take any thing between 1 to 6 hours depending on the family and altitudes which is in excess of 7500 feet. The terrain is rough and muddy calling for physical fitness. Although the hike is physically demanding, the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery make the trekking worthwhile. Once the Great Apes(Gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten as the experience is often described as being the most profound natural history experience in the world. Its recommended that you take plenty of water with you on the trek. Cameras and plenty of fast speed films are recommended. Being a tropical rain forest, it may rain at no notice, hence need to bring with you waterproof clothing, including zip lock bags for cameras and film. Others to come with include; sturdy hiking boots, long pants, gloves and raincoat. Maximum time spent with the gorillas is 1 hour. Dinner Overnight Gorilla Safari Camp/Buhoma Homestead/Kitandara Camp

Day Four

Bwindi - Ishasha Sector (QENP)

After breakfast, drive to Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The said section is gifted with the rear tree climbing lions among others.
Afternoon relax at the wilderness Camp deep in a natural African atmosphere then take an evening game drive to the albert flats. If lacky you may encounter python in search of prey. Overnight Wilderness Camp

Day Five

Ishasha - Entebbe

Today we check out and go for a morning game drive in search of tree climbing lions. We then proceed to Mbarara where we stop over for lunch. Visit the local craft shops, Mpambire drum shops and the Equator along the way. Drive to the Airport for late flight connections.
