Itineraries

Day One

Arrive at Entebbe, Uganda

Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be met by our company representative who will then transfer you to The Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel. A charming, colonial style hotel with beautiful gardens and a swimming pool. If time allows, you may visit Uganda Wildlife Education Centre / Botanical Gardens. Overnight: The Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel.

Day Two

Entebbe - Kibale Forest

After breakfast, we drive to Kibale Forest. We will take with us packed lunches which will be enjoyed enroute. The trip takes us through a variety of habitats that include forests, savannah, papyrus swamps, and vegetable gardens, that all result in beautiful sceneries. Overnight: Ndali Lodge.

Day Three

Kibale Forest

After break fast, we proceed for Chimpanzee tracking. The exciting activity begins in the morning and may take a whole day or a few hours. Briefing is done by the local park guide. Besides close cousins, the chimpanzees, there are other primates likely to be encountered. These include: red colobus, L’hoesti, black-and-white colobus, red tailed monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey and other primate species. The swamp walk at Bigodi wetland is an optional activity in the afternoon. Overnight: Ndali Lodge

Day Four

Kibale Forest - Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive passes though Fort Portal southwards along the Eastern length of the Rwenzori Mountains. On a clear day you may see the glaciated peaks as you gently descend into the Great Rift Valley to the park. The Rwenzori Peaks provide a magnificent backdrop to antelope-filled plains. Queen Elizabeth National Park covers about 2,000 square kilometers and spreads along the eastern shore of the Rift Valley’s Lake Edward.
The afternoon activities will include the exciting 3 hour launch trip on the Kazinga Channel, which is home to countless hippos, as well as baboons and abundant bird life. Overnight Mweya Lodge.

Day Five

Game Drive (Queen Elizabeth NP)

This morning we will enjoy a game drive to the magnificent plains of Kasenyi, crater valleys, and the channel drive. Here we may spot lion, leopard, buffalos, bushbuck, waterbuck, reedbucks, African elephant and. herds of Uganda kob then come back for lunch. Afternoon we drive to Maramagambo forest for a nature walk to visit bat caves where we may observe thousands of bats within inches of their roosts, and often pythons and monitor lizards poised to strike by the cave entrance. Overnight Mweya Lodge.

Day Six

Entebbe - Kampala

After breakfast, check out and drive back to Entebbe via Mbarara, Masaka and Mpigi. Enroute have a lunch stopover in Mbarara. Then proceed with your drive to Entebbe. We may make stop over at the Equator line, Mpambire drum shops and Kampala craft shops. Overnight The Windsor Lake Victoria hotel.

Day Seven

Departure

Transfer to airport for flight connections.
